About The Ride

The Kymco is the one we put nervous first-timers on. It’s a lighter quad than our Yamaha, the throttle response is gentler, and it takes almost nothing to feel in control once you’re out past the tarmac and onto the soft red sand near Al Badayer. If you’ve never sat on an ATV before — or you’re bringing someone along who’s a bit unsure — this is the honest starting point, not the sales pitch.

It’s still a real desert ride, not a watered-down version. You’ll climb dune faces, get the same guided route through the Al Badayer red dunes as every other ride we run, and finish with sand in your shoes like everyone else. The difference is just how much effort it takes to get there — the Kymco does more of the work for you.

Best Time To Ride

October through April is when this ride is genuinely at its best — cool enough in the morning that a helmet isn’t a chore, and the sunset slot gets proper golden light on the dunes. In June, July, August, book the first morning slot or the late sunset one; midday desert heat isn’t something you want layered on top of riding gear. During Ramadan we shift the slot times slightly — message us on WhatsApp to confirm for your dates.
